Michael Tercero was born and raised in San Angelo, Texas. His father was in the Army so his family was stationed in Washington, Germany and Massachusetts before finding their way back to San Angelo just before Michael started 2nd grade at Belaire Elementary. The Lord had begun working in his heart before he moved and started attending Fort Concho Elementary. It was in the lunch line during 4th grade that he heard a classmate talk about House of Faith. His curiosity would then lead him to Kevin Reynolds and Rachel Beaver at the Backyard Bible Club. He felt accepted with them and he has not been able to leave since. He would grow up through House of Faith, riding his bike in junior high which led him to a church and then graduating from Central in 2005. He then interned for two summers and started working for House of Faith on December 1, 2006. Over the years of working there he met a girl named Mindi Berry and decided he wanted to change her last name to Tercero. They married in January of 2014 at the same church his bike led him to. Michael helps oversee the daily operations of House of Faith.  He really loves engaging with students and encouraging young men to walk in what it takes to be a man of God. Carmela fell in love with the team, the mission, and the families and has been confident since those first few visits that she is right where God has called her to be. She stayed on as a volunteer, was a summer intern for a second year, and as of February 2017 has joined the staff as a part-time member.  Carmela not only helps with the Bradford and Goliad Backyard Bible Clubs but also helps answer phones, completes endless amounts of paperwork and data entry as well as helps keep us organized.  When Carmela is not working, she enjoys being crafty in her spare time and investing in youth at her local church.
