“The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. ” - Romans 13:11b NIV
Wake up! Jesus is real, He’s alive, and He’s coming back soon!
That is the good news we had the privilege of sharing with over 157 elementary students at our Kid’s Connection program a few weeks ago.
After many hours of prayer and planning, our team felt the Lord was leading us to teach His children about the importance of believing in Him, knowing Him, and being known by Him. Each day we spent a dedicated time worshiping, praying, and teaching our students that Jesus is real, alive, and coming back soon.
We felt the call to press in on the need for salvation and the truth that Jesus is our rescue. He rescued us from the death and eternal separation from God that our sin deserves. He rescues us daily from our flesh, and will rescue His people again in His return. Through this teaching, we saw kids wake up to the truth that Jesus is worth everything! Throughout the week we pressed in about the urgency and importance of giving our lives to Him and choosing to follow Him with our whole body, heart, mind, spirit, and soul. We saw 6 students decide to follow Jesus and were able to baptize 15 students, as well! Praise God!
We stand in awe of the life-changing power of Jesus, and we are excited to see how our students continue to wake up, and stay awake, to the truth that living for Jesus is worth it!
