We are so thankful and grateful for our faithful volunteers who partner with us on mission to take Jesus to neighborhood children, youth, and families. Our volunteers are essential in our mission, as it takes an army of believers locking arms every week to share the Gospel with the next generation at House of Faith programs.
We asked a few of our volunteers why they serve, how House of Faith has impacted them, and what their favorite part of serving is. Their stories are a beautiful reminder of the eternal impact that can happen when we faithfully show up, serve, and invest in the next generation.
“As a mom of two boys, ages 7 and 8, I was inspired to volunteer because I love the opportunity to be an active part of my kids’ lives and support them, along with their peers, as they come to know Christ. The students truly brighten my day with their energy and excitement. I enjoy seeing each of their personalities shine through, and watching them learn and grow. My favorite part of volunteering has been being part of the House of Faith family and getting to share in all the fun activities while learning about God together. I love the friendships, the laughter, and watching the kids have fun while growing in their faith.”

“I started volunteering with House of Faith after I was asked if I’d be interested. I was always attending the girls’ Backyard Bible Clubs and watching from the sidelines, so I said yes! Let me just say, it has been such a tremendous blessing to me, more than I think it has been for them! Being a part of the House of Faith family, where our children attend and also being a volunteer at House of Faith, is truly the best of both worlds. It has been one of the sweetest and most precious things my family and I have experienced. I continue to serve every year because it is life-giving to me! To see how much the staff and other volunteers work so hard to teach children and youth about Jesus, to pray for them and their families, to show them love, and to be able to be a small part of that, is an honor and a privilege. To see a child’s face light up when they see me and say, “Miss Jackie!” and get excited to share something about their life with me, and be a part of their walk with Jesus makes me so happy. That’s why I keep volunteering; to be a light to them and their families, and to be the hands and feet of Jesus. It’s something I look forward to every year, and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to serve and volunteer. My favorite part of volunteering is that my husband and children have come alongside me and started serving, as well! Not only do my kids attend House of Faith, but they have stepped up and started volunteering and serving as well, and they absolutely love it.”
