| SUMMER TIME SPONSOR A CHILD
Individuals or businesses may sponsor one or more students for the Summer. With this sponsorship comes the opportunity to attend Sports, Day and Overnight Camps, receive a sports ball from the camp they attend, meals, transportation, swimming, discipleship material, and a “T” shirt with the HOF logo and Summer theme. Family Camp This weekend retreat at the HEB Foundation property in Leakey enables House of Faith staff and families of HOF members to get to know one another. Families participate in activities that are not usually available to them such as fishing, hiking, canoeing and games. This time is highly beneficial for families to learn how to do things together through experience. Family groups are mostly a single parent or grandparent with children. A $5 per person fee is suggested to secure reservations and insure that people who sign up, will come. However, we never let money become an issue that keeps families from attending. Average attendance: 50 families Cost per family of four: $75 Sports Camps These five-day camps for football, basketball, volleyball and soccer provide an opportunity for 4th through 8th grade youth to develop specific skills, which give them a head start in Jr. High sports programs or helps them strengthen those skills already learned. Sports camps also stimulate interest in positive and healthy extra-curricular activities. Public school athletic coaches volunteer their time to coach and mentor the kids. In addition, each participant receives a student Bible, a sports camp T-shirt and a sport ball for his or her preferred sport in soccer, football, basketball or volleyball. Average attendance: 250 students Cost per student: $50 Jr. and Sr. High Camps Students attend a weeklong traditional summer church camp with other local church youth in their respective age groups. Available attendance: 125 students Cost per student: $175 Overnight Camps Staff and volunteers coordinate and lead camps for 4th through 6th graders. Children are bused to the camp in Menard and participate in daily teaching and devotions, games, swimming, sports and skills training and campfire fellowship. Average attendance: 150 students Cost per student: $50 Day Camps 4th through 8th grade students are bused in to House of Faith for three consecutive afternoons. They sign up for a variety of activities: pottery, drama, arts & crafts, dance, fishing, canoeing and have small group dynamics. Average attendance: 250 students Cost per student: $25 Summer Internships College age students provide invaluable assistance while developing leadership and job skills for two months during the summer. They are directly involved in planning, preparing, teaching and counseling during the programs described above. Former interns have come from colleges or churches in Kansas, Illinois, Oklahoma and Texas to be part of this intern program.
