The foundation of our ministry starts with the children. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe environment for children to learn and grow in the Lord. Here are a few of the programs that we have created to reach those goals.
Weekly gatherings of elementary school age children at 14 sites near or on their school grounds. Children walk to the site one afternoon a week where House of Faith staff and volunteers build relationships through games and playtime to begin the BBC day. After some playtime the children are gathered together by age groups for a game, Bible stories, scripture verse, object lessons and personal application that teach them how they can look to God to guide them in the things they are learning in their own lives.
Relationships established through Backyard Bible Clubs are powerful avenues for staff and volunteers to speak spiritually into the lives of children, youth and families.
Fusion is a discipleship program for 5th graders who meet twice a month on Monday afternoons. Fifth graders who show a desire to know more about who Jesus is and exemplify leadership skills at their Backyard Bible Clubs are chosen by their club leaders to be part of this program that meets throughout the year. Students experience the community of a small group while playing fun games, encountering God in worship, and engaging the Word of God. The Fusion students will also have times throughout the year to serve the community in which we live, learning to be a servant leader.
