Advancement Director

Job Description:
The main role of all House of Faith employees is a children, youth, and family minister which necessitates that all applicants must be dedicated Christ followers and eager to help others grow in their faith.

Advancement Director cultivates relationships with community members, organizations, businesses and churches for the purpose of telling the story of House of Faith to build & foster partnerships that provide support for and fulfillment of the House of Faith mission. They understand these duties are integral to sustaining the community footprint and everyday operations of House of Faith.

Responsibilities:
  • Ministry
    • Reflect the character of Christ in the way we treat community members, donors and potential partners
    • Participate and lead in ministry programs that oversee and teach children, youth and families
    • Prayerfully seek the Lord's direction for House of Faith and House of Faith partners
    • Honor the Lord in pursuing excellence and maintaining professionalism in all interactions
  • Building Community Connections
    • Communicate clearly the mission, vision and needs of House of Faith
    • Identify and make connections with businesses, organizations and churches to bring support to House of Faith
    • Keep a running list of people to get in front of for House of Faith. Work the list and look for opportunities.
    • Develop a record keeping system to track visits and a follow up system
    • Keep consistent records of visits for each connection based on the record keeping system, including resources, donation levels, follow-up plans and more
    • Connect with existing partners to express thanks, keep them informed of HOF happenings and needs, and explore additional partnership opportunities
    • Keep track of and schedule opportunities to promote the House of Faith organization recruit and seek to address needs in all areas of giving, praying and serving
    • Work with the Volunteer Coordinator on explore recruiting opportunities for volunteers and set up recruitment opportunities
    • Work with the team to establish who will attend recruitment events 
  • Team
    • Engage with the team in unity both spiritually and in helping one another as needed
    • Work and communicate closely with the Executive Director.
    • Work closely with the Development & Grant Writing Specialist as needed.
    • Work closely with other teams as needed
    • All other duties as assigned

  • Ability to learn and use internal data systems
  • Able to sustain focus
  • Occasional travel required
  • Able to follow and give detailed instructions
  • Ability to train other Administrative Assistants
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Sit/stand for long periods
    • Be able to lift 10-25 lbs.
    • Kneel or crouch at times.

Salary & Benefits
  • Full-Time Salaried position; paid bi-weekly,

Schedule
  • Primarily Monday-Friday, 9:00am -5:30pm
  • Some programs and several special events will occur after 5:30pm at times and on several weekends throughout the year. These events are all hands on deck.
  • Some events will require travel.

  • In Person
