Exploring the Hall of Faith

This semester we have had the privilege of teaching a 5-week unit to our students, Hall of Faith. This unit focuses on “The miraculous history of God’s people that inspires us to put our FAITH in God into action.”

Over the course of the unit we have used hand-painted story boxes and figurines to illustrate the stories of characters like Abraham, Moses, Joshua, and John the Baptist. Through this interactive teaching model, we have watched our students beam with excitement as they explore the stories and learn about these heroes of faith.

The goal of this unit has been to teach our students that we don’t have to be perfect to put our faith in God and believe Him for the miraculous, but we do need to be in constant relationship with Him!

It’s been overwhelming to watch them put their faith into action week after week! They have prayed for classmates, families and teachers, worshiped the Lord through song or dance, and drawn pictures of what He’s teaching them. All while growing in their passion for studying His word!

Please join us in praying that our students would continue to have faith like Abraham, Moses, Joshua, and John the Baptist. Pray that they would believe that He can do a miraculous work in them like He did these heroes of faith!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. (Hebrews 12:1-2a)
